This Demon Caves city wasn't completely empty, actually.
When Li Pan and Duan Kecheng drove to the city center...where did the car come from? Stolen from the roadside, Duan Kecheng this guy said for the sake of "disguise" we couldn't fly in the sky, and actually wanted to walk into the city from the suburbs...
Anyway, having driven to the city center, Li Pan gradually started to notice some "other things" among the crowd of walking dead.
Those "things" definitely weren't human, but like them, they were Outer Domain Demons clad in human skin.
Even though their bodies were barely wrapped in skin, looking like "people", but the radiation of colorful energies, liquids of Qi, shadowy tentacles, scales, horns, and various other messy non-human organs would protrude from underneath the human skin.
It looked like game characters glitching and overlapping, even without using any divine powers or magic to see through their true forms, one could recognize them at a glance.
