Corporations at least maintained the facade of civilized people, engaging in corporate warfare and coaxing people to jump buildings and whatnot. The thugs were more direct, resorting to chopping people, arson, and spraying with machine guns.
There were turf wars in the streets, and a new era of warfare had commenced in the scramble for the scraps left by the corporations.
