Li Pan banged out a few shots, and bullets entered the light wall, appearing to be caught in glass as they slowly stopped mid-air, then, under the pull of gravity, dropped down at an eerie, uniform speed. Yet, when ordinary humans walked through it at a normal pace, though they felt resistance, they didn't face any problems.
That gadget looked quite intriguing, but the launching device was a bit bulky; and besides, you needed a nuclear blast to trigger the laser, or else it could have been fitted onto trucks for bulletproofing.
