Shiranui Muko had a room in the bustling streets of Kabukicho, in the Old Capital District of Night City; back in the day, it was considered the city center. Now, even with Night City's focused development of new cities, it still retains its status as an inner urban area, as bustling as ever. A similarly sized apartment in Li Pan's suburban area cost a starting rent of at least forty thousand a month, which was simply unaffordable for the average company drone.
But one has to admit, Cloud Top Apartment did indeed have a Cyberpunk vibe. Thousands of floors pierced the sky; every one hundred floors there was a floating car park. Looking outside through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, one could see the ever-lit community beneath, with all sorts of cargo drones shuttling through the air like rain and vehicles and people resembling ants, creating an atmosphere that made one feel superior to others, a cut above the rest.
