The first part wasn't that bad.
But when it came to the potential for his own child not being able to receive a proper education in the future, Senator Raglen grew uneasy.
As a Senator, he was certainly very aware of America's current financial situation.
It had been manageable when the previous President was in office, after all, that President had a background as a Businessman and was quite capable in economic matters.
However, as soon as Payden took office, he kicked aside his predecessor's economic plans and restarted America's hegemonic strategy all over the world.
Once such a hegemonic strategy was in place, military spending had to be ramped up.
But where would this military spending come from?
