Upon Obadiah's statement, everyone at the scene dared not whisper anymore and all closed their mouths.
"Oh yes, since the voting starts tomorrow, I plan to host a dinner tonight at the George Kimpton Hotel, inviting the congressmen from our camp to attend. I would like you all to be present."
This dinner was, of course, not a celebration.
The voting in the House of Congressman regarding the bill would start tomorrow, and no one knew which of their camp's congressmen might turn out to be traitors.
Thus, the purpose of David hosting this dinner was to use the system's scrutiny function to see if he could discover anything in advance and prepare accordingly.
Additionally, it was to issue a final warning to those with ulterior motives!
