This was the document David had meticulously examined with his "golden finger" yesterday, obtained after an all-night operation through the Ninglin Branch Office.
David took it and passed it over to the person sitting across from him, Mr. Lawson.
Mr. Lawson, however, was somewhat bewildered and asked, "What is this?"
"You could open it and take a look, but as a friendly reminder, if I were you, I wouldn't open it, I would accept the previous proposal," David replied.
Lawson's expression turned serious, his intuition telling him that the envelope likely contained something detrimental to him.
Yet for him to simply agree to David's proposal, that was impossible.
In the end, after a mental struggle, Lawson still took the envelope, opened it, and began to examine the documents inside.
As he took in the contents, his face went from shock, to disbelief, and then to ash.
"Where did you get all these from?" he demanded.
