Whenever Miss Haruka Yuzan was mentioned, a hint of indifference flashed through the young lady's eyes.
She loved Haruka.
But she didn't want to hear Haruka's name from Chiba Shimizu's lips.
"What do you want to say?"
Otome Mizuko squinted her eyes, "Finally realized how shameful your actions were? Thinking of backing out?"
Chiba Shimizu shook her head, "Not really."
She parted her red lips slightly and took a gentle sip of the fragrant tea, then asked a question that left Otome Mizuko puzzled:
"Do you like Haruka Yuzan?"
"Hmph, I thought you were going to say something worthwhile. Why even ask that?"
Otome Mizuko chuckled lightly, her beautiful peach-blossom eyes filled with disdain.
"Then... if, say, Haruka Yuzan did something that made you very unhappy, how would you handle it?"
Chiba Shimizu's gaze remained calm.
"What do you mean?"
Otome's brows furrowed lightly, sensing something amiss.
