"Thump thump dash dash," a series of urgent footsteps sounded in my ears, and without thinking, I knew who it was coming down.
Looking up, I saw Misaki Saki, holding a canvas board that was as large as her upper body, running over to this side with her body tilted.
Her adorable little face was filled with a joyful smile.
After she set the canvas board aside, I noticed madam was on a video call with Rika Onodera, jolting and jumping close to the camera lens,
"Rika!"
"Sister Misaki!"
The crisp and lively voice came from the phone, and Rika Onodera, seeing Misaki Saki, also showed a very happy smile.
"Sister Misaki, I have already framed the drawing you gave me!"
As she spoke, the little girl hugged her phone and, with a similar "dash dash dash" sound, ran from this little room into another small bedroom where, on a small desk, was prominently displayed a handmade picture frame, holding the gift Misaki Saki had given her.
