Whether it was caused by Starlight, the great enemy of life, or it was the Overlord-Level civilizations who secretly released the Starlight and then used it to contact humans, the fact remains that they were the ones who sought us out, not the other way around. By the same token, if humans abide by the law themselves, and all species that wish to join the Human Camp do the same, then it's inherently fair.
You can argue that your species is small in number, you can say that your species has dark skin, you can even say that your entire species is of the female gender, and thus needs special treatment. Yes, you may raise these points, but whether these privileges can be granted is a matter for discussion, as truth becomes clearer through debate. It cannot simply be pointed at humans and labeled as oppression or inequality without justification, can it?
