Lu Yuanming was completely unaware that Wei was plotting a "terrible conspiracy." He had already granted Wei her freedom and had decided to let her lead a portion of the Yalong Clan back to their homeland before anyone else. His reasons were threefold: first, to stabilize the situation; second, to gain control over the Yalong Clan and facilitate the human race's eventual engulfment of this Fourth Level Cosmic Civilization; and third, to feed the remaining five Fourth Level Cosmic Civilizations false intelligence that the Yalong Clan hadn't lost or at least hadn't suffered a major defeat.
"Do not trust those you do not use, do not doubt those you use" was the principle Lu Yuanming followed. Since Wei had already signed the Oathbook with humanity, he was willing to give her a chance, a trust, regardless of how dangerous she might be or whether she had waged war against humans in the past. From now on, everything would start anew.
