Lin Yan, daughter of Lin An, the chief equipment designer in the Eligible Ones' formation sequence, was one of Lu Yuanming's companions selected during the crisis humanity faced years ago with the Gear Reversal Event.
The selection criteria included age, appearance, and body shape, all of which had to align with more than eighty percent of Lu Yuanming's aesthetic preferences, as well as a high intelligence quotient, no hereditary diseases, and no rare genes or blood carriers. In total, seven individuals were selected, with Ke Yurong, who was familiar with Lu Yuanming, and Lu Yuanming's sister, Lu Yuanmin, making up a total of nine females.
