The so-called information residue bodies had only recently appeared.
The information-infected bodies were initially discovered when searching uninhabited areas for remaining populations.
The search and rescue teams found humans in the wilderness of the uninhabited zones, mostly surviving in groups ranging from a few to several dozen people. Due to their sparse numbers and wide distribution, they had survived the apocalyptic final battle.
For these people, the nations still intended to save whoever could be saved, instead of truly leaving them to fend for themselves. However, it wasn't long before the rescue teams realized something was wrong.
