If he saw a young person scornful of worldly matters, he would say they were the sole sober one among a drunken crowd, and that intelligent people never bothered mingling with fools.
If someone looked downcast, he'd observe if they had the air of a sycophant. If so, he'd say they were bound to be happily married to their beloved eventually, and if not, he claimed they were one step away from soaring high and rising swiftly through the ranks.
With this set of lines, Zhou Li could be said to have a hundred-percent success rate; there were hardly any who weren't touched by his sincere words and eager tone.
