The defense of a city has always been a strategic focal point for the military since ancient times.
It could be said that the most important aspect of an ancient city was its defenses. Whether it was the granary for storing grain, the armory for weapons, or the treasury for silver, they were all heavily guarded, to the point where not even a mosquito could pass through.
As the linchpin among the Thirteen Cities of the Northern Ring, Taiying's city defenses naturally took precedence above all else. These important locations were, of course, guarded by the elite soldiers of the Three Thousand Camp.
