King Zhu Gaoxu walked out with his hands clasped behind his back, striding confidently. He hadn't made an entrance, and he was even wearing just a plain, light purple python robe. He stopped behind the Golden Snake Lady, lifted his head, and his smile was filled with wild arrogance.
"Unearthing the truth?"
The long sword at his waist hung diagonally beside its scabbard, in an odd fashion, yet it exuded an eerie sense of solemn lethality. The King of Han slouched slightly, looking unkempt and flippant.
"Or perhaps, you think I'm going to put on a sad play of fatherly and filial affection?"
The Golden Snake Lady said nothing; she merely looked ahead at Zhu Qianyun, her eyes showing a golden luster. After a moment, she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and spoke:
"I did not expect that the commotion today would trouble His Royal Highness, King of Han; my humble self apologizes to you."
"My humble self?"
