"People need to learn to let go. Just like how a person dies when they're killed, there are some things you just have to give up," Zhou Li muttered to himself, having almost instinctively thrown out the cucumber root. But, realizing that the white-haired glutton wasn't around, Zhou Li could only eat the cucumber root with a hint of resignation. He then dusted off his hands, stood up, and continued talking to himself:
"Like mathematics, advanced algebra, and calculus. If I don't give them up, I'll die."
He twisted his waist and stretched his limbs. Taking a deep breath, Zhou Li slowly pulled out a magical item from the pouch at his waist.
"But..."
He took out the Cat's Eye Stone and then a stone. With a determined look in his eyes and veins popping on his neck, Zhou Li forcefully combined the Rat Talisman and the Cat's Eye Stone together.
"Hard work never kills!"
