As soon as the voice faded, the jade turned from the Imperial Jade Seal into a piece of Broken Jade, ordinary and uninspiring. Though eyeless, it gave Tang Wan and Zhou Li the sensation of being "watched," before it continued:
"When Da Ming defeated Mengyuan, the latter fled in panic. To cut off Da Ming's Dragon Vein, the evil lord of Mengyuan shattered me with the Dragon-Subduing Spire within the imperial city and escaped to the Northern Desert."
"But what Mengyuan did not expect was that the State Preceptor Liu Bowen found me at that time and preserved my remnants, barely maintaining my existence through the method of solidifying the nation with Dragon Qi. Sadly, my other three fragments are still missing, and therefore, to this day, Da Ming does not possess a true Imperial Jade Seal."
After finishing these words, the jade paused as if looking directly at Zhou Li, then slowly said:
