Chapter 152 - Kevin's Barrel

2 hours later

Kevin looked up at the moon that glistened over the beautiful water, lying down on the deck of the ship while everyone else was asleep. "I'm hungry…" he thought to himself, trying his best not to go insane before they even were able to restock. Emerging from the floor in starvation, Kevin looked across the sea, searching for any source of food - but something caught his eye that stood out.

It was a wooden barrel floating through the ocean. Picking the wet barrel up, Kevin couldn't help but imagine what the barrel held - was it an ice cream sundae, a cool toy, or a paper full of math equations?" Trying to bite the barrel open with his teeth, Kevin sighed. "If I wake Samantha up, she's gonna kill me and lecture me on how I'm not contributing to anythin-"

Kevin's stomach rumbled again - he knew who he had to wake up at this point in time.

72 years ago, a new land was publicly ready to be established, also known as the Land Of Trila. After an unexpected encounter with an entity 30 years into its established existence, however, the founder of Trila died unexpectedly, being avenged by Uma Sahua, who was arguably the worst president of the land. Although the allegations still resurface and nobody knows the truth about what is currently happening on the islands and dangerous waters of Turia, Kevin and his friends plan to get to the bottom of this situation. Will they be able to get to the bottom of the allegations casted on Uma, or would they die on the islands? This is ENTITY VOLUME 9: LAND OF TRILA; PART 1.

Kevin's Barrel

Yawning, Gerald, Michael, and Alex glanced at Kevin. "So you woke us up from our beauty sleep just to open a damn barrel!?" Gerald snapped, ready to scold Kevin to the ends of the earth. Being restrained by Michael and Alex, Gerald looked inside the peepole the barrel had - just a hole of darkness. Holding his leg up in the air, a whiff of Blue Fire emerged from his leg, significantly increasing his strength. Charging at the barrel, he was stopped by Kevin and his bare hands. "Don't do that, Gerald! You'll wake Samantha up!" he exclaimed angrily. Withdrawing his attack, he directed Alex to go and look in Samantha's room where she continued to sleep. Opening the door quietly, Alex found Spooky mounted on the sleepy Samantha as both of them snored loudly, shaking the entire room Alex was sharing with them. Trying not to fall to the ground due to the mini-earthquake, both Alex and Michael worked together to board up the doors so Samantha could get a good night's sleep.

"Why the hell am I working with YOU?" Michael snapped at Alex, ready to slap him in the face. "Beats me!" Alex muttered rudely, spitting in his face. Continuing to try and pry open the barrel with his front teeth, Kevin had finally come up with a new idea that wouldn't orally or physically injure him. Running upstairs to his room on the ship, he found a old pair of shears that Jayden had left on the ship accidentally while trying to tend to the garden that sat there. Rushing down the stairs, all of the boys glanced at the barrel and Kevin in excitement as they were finally ready to see what sat inside!

Aaaand the shears bent immediately after. Kevin scoffed. "I don't give a shit anymore! If that witch wakes up and gets us to follow her orders, just listen to her! I'm gonna find out what's in this barrel, if it's the last thing I d-"

Suddenly, Samantha's snot bubble could be heard popping from the inside. "Fuck." Alex whispered in a clever tone to Michael. "She probably woke up because you're way too fat to be on this ship." Michael scoffed rudely, glancing at his enemy. "I'M 112 POUNDS, THANK YOU!" Suddenly, Samantha could be heard trying to break through the multiple layers of doors. As everyone rushed up to their bed (leaving the barrel all alone in the courtyard of the ship), Samantha finally was able to take her first glance of the beautiful night sky across the sea. But shortly after, her eyes were traced to the barrel. Blooming an ice fist, Samantha completely cut the barrel open, revealing a piece of a broken Land Of Trila map. "Huh - it's a map!" she exclaimed, walking back into her bedroom. "Maybe the barrel washed up on our ship in luck - hopefully I won't have to babysit the boys the entire time!" Dropping the map to save for later, Samantha closed the door as she climbed back into her bed, dozing off after a few seconds. Smiling despicable, Kevin glanced at Gerald. "Why is the map split, Geary-Beary?"

"Land Of Trila maps come split into 3 pieces for some reason according to the government - to get all three pieces and access the entire island, I think we might need to find them on the network of islands surrounding the land… Also, did you see that new poster in the newspap-" Suddenly, Gerald looked around the courtyard, noticing that nobody was there after he finished a single sentence. "Meh, I'll take this map with me to bed!" he exclaimed, humming one of Mr. King's famous songs before closing the door.
