"Welcome back to the broadcasting center of the Great Dune Dash!" Lopez exclaimed enthusiastically, trying not to get viewers to look away from his so-called "handsome" face. "Right now, 25 racers remain in the course - but in first and second place, Suri Yua, with a bounty of 395,000, along with her brother Duri, are completely DOMINATING the other racers as they continue their voyage across the land! Catching up is Michael of Team ENTITY, accompanied by Hai and Tuka with a bounty of 1,759,000, and the daughter of the legendary Velasquez, Trya. Meanwhile back at the destination, the execution preparations continue to be set up. Ikama's departure and final goodbye to his imprisoned family will be happening in approximately 30 minutes as he will be escorted to the execution platform after this race ends! Anyway, here's my friend and colleague, Vera, reporting live from Sunstone Village!" Samantha, continuing to look at the TV, sighed in boredom. "Won't that guy ever shut up?" she moaned. As everyone scanned the room, they were surprised to see that Kevin was the only one absent from the lobby couch. "Where'd Kevin go?" Gerald asked everyone, looking under the couch. Samantha sighed. "Knowing him, he'll probably be back…" Meanwhile by the dumpster that leaned beside the hotel sat Kevin, who continued to fidget with the watch.
"How is this a power extender..?" he continued to think to himself, moving the little digits around. Suddenly, the mainframe of the clock popped off, showing a secret hatch inside. "What's this?" he thought to himself. Looking at the four circles that were coated with red paint, Kevin looked at the pictures that sat in the middle of the circle.
One sun, one storm cloud, one scratched off by the aging, and finally, one lightning bolt. Kevin tapped the sun. "Who the hell are these-" Before he could finish his sentence, a cloud peeped out of the watch. Looking back at Kevin, the cloud burped. "Where's Kaelan?" Kevin screamed. "A TALKING CLOUD!?" he exclaimed. The cloud laughed. "Of course I'm a talking cloud, idiot! Are you mentally insane?" Kevin sighed. "What the hell are you doing here? All I tapped was a picture of a storm cloud!" The cloud laughed once again. "If you didn't know, what you just discovered is a Power Extender Layer. I'm Lightning, one of the Power Extenders that sit within the face of the watch. The other ones, Sun, Noney, and Lightning, have been locked away since DDLFO was seen breaking out of the pyramid… Say, what happened to him?" Kevin laughed nervously. "Should I really tell a talking cloud about what happened with DDLFO? This may be a dream, so I'll just shut up and tell em!" Kevin smiled. "I defeated him." The cloud laughed. "You're a teenager! Who the hell are you going around claiming you defeated DDLF-" Alex put his hand on Kevin's shoulder. "I can easily confirm this. Kevin, captain of Team ENTITY, successfully defeated DDLFO back in Embercliff after an intense encounter." The cloud froze. "B-Boss Alex?" it muttered. "How the hell do you know this twer-" Alex chuckled. "Old friend of mine. If you want to know what happened to Xavier, Kaelan, Rian, and Zara, I'm happy to tell you they're all safe back in Death Desert as we speak. During your absence, I met back up with Kevin and his friends after 7 years of not seeing each other." The cloud bowed respectfully. "I-I'm sorry for treating you like shit." he muttered before putting his attention back on Alex. "So, this guy owns us now?" Alex nods his head. "You could say that."
FLASHBACK
Xavier smiled. "Kevin, take this." he said, handing him a watch. Kevin, accepting the gift, looked at it in question. "What the hell is this?" Rian interrupted. "That's a power extender! It helps your speed, strength, and if you need help, call us with it!" Kevin smiled. "So basically, I can call you guys for assistance via the watch?" Kaelan smiled. "Yep!" Kevin, star struck by the amazing watch, smiled. "Thanks, guys! I'll be sure to keep this safe!
Kevin held the watch tight. "So this is what they were talking about…" he thought to himself. Back in Death Desert, a dehydrated Michael finally caught back up with the newly created alliance. "Hi, Trya." Michael stuttered. "Who are these people?" Trya smiled. "Hai and Tuka! They asked to form an alliance with us, so I said yes!" Michael sighed. "Trya, you can't just make alliances freely. We need to develop great trust for the person first!" Scratching her head, Trya laughed awkwardly. "Right. Anyway, let's go catch up with 2nd and 1st place!" Michael smiled. "Right!" he exclaimed. Hai and Tuka chuckled. "Little do they know, we're going to paint our hands in their blood once they get to Embercliff…"
