It has now been 3 entire days after the infiltration of Diamond City, and the destruction of the FE Labs orginization. As the recovery of Team Diamond continues, what they do not know is that the front page of every newspaper is about Ender's defeat, making Kevin famous around the world. Now, Team Diamond was famous - but would this be a good thing?
Meanwhile in Dreamalia, Princess Layla looked up at the newspaper as she looked down at her city into the beautiful night. As soon as she sees the front page, she scoffs. Reading what happened in Diamond City, everything made sense.
Team Diamond had saved Diamond City.
Princess Layla looked up at the moon, smiling. "13 years later, you guys have saved another land. I'm proud of you guys…" she says, as a leaf blows with the everlasting wind. Back in Crystal City, Forrest, who was discharged from the hospital after his wounds healed, sat in the Sword Graveyard, looking at the newspaper he held in his hands. "Hey, I'm on the front page!" Forrest said, smiling. As he turned the pages, suddenly, he saw something that would make him freeze in his tracks.
In the land Death Desert in the southeast, a new and stronger entity named DDLFO had broken out of the Pyramid of Life, where it was held for 3,000 years. All that time ago, the citizens of DD thought that the world would have already met its demise. But it seems that wasn't true.
Forrest continues glancing at the newspaper, looking for more context to the story. As he continued flipping through the pages, he saw two bounties originating in Death Desert - one for 15,000 dollars and another one for 20,000. Forrest scoffed. "What the hell is this!?" Suddenly, it all made sense. These were the people who controlled DDLFO. As Forrest puts down the newspaper, he ventures back to the city, ready to break the news to the rest of Team Diamond. In the hospital, the machines continued to beep as Kevin finally woke up. As he scratched his head in question, he tried to read the room to find out exactly what had happened and where he was. Suddenly, as he looked back, he saw Gerald in a hospital bed too. "You're finally awake." he said, grinning. "What happened…?" Kevin said, rubbing his eyes. Gerald looked at his best friend. "You fainted halfway through the final stretch back to Crystal City. Although we're back here, we took a stop at the Underground City. In other words, you've been asleep for about three days." Kevin screams. "THREE FUCKING DAYS? WHAT DID I MISS!?" Gerald laughs, moving his light brown hair from his eyes. "You missed something really important, but don't worry. If you learn it, you may get too excited." Kevin felt his heart pounding in excitement. "SO? WHAT IS IT? WHAT IS IT? I WANNA KNOW!" Gerald screamed. "KEVIN, YOU'LL FIND OUT SOON. SHUT UP!" Kevin, looking at his friend, sighs. "Fine." Suddenly, Gerald's smile faded to a frown. "We don't know what happened to Cameron. He never caught back up to us." Kevin scoffs. "Shit, this is bad…" he exclaimed. In the three days Kevin was asleep, the unknown status of Cameron still perplexed Team Diamond, especially Forrest, who was waiting anxiously for an answer. It was either two chances - would he be the only living member of The Big 3, or would he reunite with him on his way back to Diamond City? Suddenly, a tired Samantha opens the door. "Hey, Gerald. I-" Samantha freezes, looking at the conscious Kevin. "YOU'RE ALIVE!" Samantha says, celebrating. "What happened, Samantha?" Kevin asks, anxious. Samantha frowns the same way as Gerald. "Officials have found Cameron in Diamond City. Sadly, he didn't make it…" Kevin and Gerald freeze as the room goes silent. "Cameron's d-dead?" Samantha sighs. "Sadly, yes. But he took Ender with him." Suddenly, Forrest walked into the hospital room. He had seen the current status of Cameron - deceased. As tears streamed down the cheeks of Forrest, Samantha walked up to him, comforting him. "Forrest, we heard the news. Cameron sacrificed himself for us…" Forrest tears up, pulling out a tissue. "I hope Cameron has a nice time in heaven… Now, I'm the only alive member of The Big 3… What should I do?" Kevin speaks up. "You could be president of Diamond City!" Since the old president was murdered by Ender 7 years ago, for three days the position of president has been vacant. Forrest looks at Kevin, grinning. "Good idea, Kevin!" Kevin smiles, but this would be the moment where Forrest left Crystal City - which meant they had to part ways. As Forrest stood at the door of the hospital room, Kevin, Gerald, and Samantha glanced at him. "I guess this is goodbye…" Forrest said, tearing up. Kevin, still shaken up from the battle back at Scallia, speaks up. "Forrest, I'm sorry for what happened at Scallia. I was just really mad that I had no assi-"
"It's okay, Kevin. I forgive you." Forrest says, grinning. Kevin grins back in a state of relief. Gerald looks at Forrest closely. "Forrest," he says, "If you're leaving now… be sure to visit us sometime." Forrest pulls something out of his pocket, walking up to the rest of Team Diamond. As he finally arrives at the hospital bed, he breaks the shard of diamond in half. Giving it to the trio, he lets out a grin of pure happiness. "Keep this, Kevin. This is something for you that Cameron gave me many years ago. Now, there's a connection between the 5 of us - Team Diamond and The Big 3. Gerald grins, taking the diamond happily. Looking at it from his hand, he closes it and smiles. "We'll keep this safe, Forrest." As Forrest walks away from the hospital door, he grins. "Thank you guys for everything. If you guys are ever in trouble and I'm around, I'll be sure to save you!" he says, preparing to close the door. Team Diamond replies. "Thank you, Forrest! We will always remember you!"
The door shuts. The Big 3 and Team Diamond had parted ways. "I hope we see each other again…" Forrest thinks to himself, grasping the green diamond in his hand. "I treasure all of you guys… Thank you for appreciating me."
Meanwhile in the Yulem Region of Death Desert…
In the Yulem Region, a faraway city in the middle of DD sat. This city was known as Travalia, being a sister city to Dreamalia and containing most of the world's most valuable things. This also meant it was a constant target for robberies, but these were all stopped by the mighty army of human entities.
Horses galloped towards the city, holding the most dangerous robbers Death Desert had to offer. "I see the city!" One man, also known as Kyle Nulpe (15,000) said. His partner, Trevor (20,000), looked back at him. "Let's make sure this robbery goes swiftly!" After their major heist in the pyramid, they had a dangerous entity at their command, making them the most powerful people in the region.
Would Kevin, Gerald, Samantha, Spooky, and Michael be able to defend the region, or would hell unleash?
To be continued…
