The next day, Yun Wuji left his palace and strolled through the Holy Eaves Sect.
The surroundings were undeniably stunning, majestic mountains pierced the clouds, and flying islands adorned with cascading waterfalls added to the grandeur. But to Yun Wuji, it still couldn't compare to the beauty of the Snow Song Realm.
After all, there was likely no realm with scenery quite like the Snow Song Realm. With 90% of the population being women, Yun Wuji always found walking around there particularly... enjoyable ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
As he strolled through the sect, Yun Wuji suddenly noticed a figure approaching him. The figure was a middle-aged man dressed in green robes, topped with a small green hat, and a sword hanging neatly at his waist.
As soon as he noticed Yun Wuji, his expression turned serious, and he quickened his pace, heading directly toward him.
"You..." He stopped in front of Yun Wuji, puffing out his chest in an attempt to appear imposing. When he opened his mouth to speak, his voice boomed with a deep, thunderous tone.
However, before he could say another word, Yun Wuji interrupted, "Shut up!"
Before the man could react, Yun Wuji stepped forward, slapping him on the shoulder, then leaned close to his ear. In a low, menacing voice, he said, "I don't care why or who sent you here. What I want to know is, did you live your whole life in vain?"
"You...you..." The man stammered in confusion, completely thrown off. What the heck was this kid doing? He hadn't even begun to speak yet.
"I already told you to shut up! Who allowed you to speak? Can't you see that I still haven't finished talking?!" Yun Wuji shouted in his ear again, cutting him off. "How did a fool like you even manage to cultivate to the Divine Spirit Realm?"
Hearing his words, the man's expression darkened. How dare this kid, only at the Divine Origin Realm, speak to him like that?!
Anger surged within him.
"You probably came here to cause trouble, right?" Yun Wuji took a few steps back, his hands casually behind his back as he spoke indifferently. "But do you even know who I am?"
When Yun Wuji finished speaking, he saw the anger in the man's eyes vanish, replaced by cold fear. He stumbled backward, trying to speak but no words came out, his mouth opening and closing like a fish gasping for air.
Right! How did he overlook this boy's background?
"I am the disciple of Luo Guxie, the number one expert in the Holy Eaves Realm and in the entire Eastern Divine Region, outside of the King Realm!" Yun Wuji said calmly. "Do you believe that with a single word, my master could squash you with just one finger?!"
"The people who sent you here clearly understood this, that's why they sent a fool like you to test me." He narrowed his eyes and continued, "However, I'm a good guy. I'll give you a chance."
"Go ahead and do what you planned when you first arrived, or get lost before I lose my temper."
"I...I..." The man's whole body trembled like a leaf, his Pentium III CPU finally processing the situation! He had actually come to pick a fight with the personal disciple of Fairy Guxie, a freaking 9th-level Divine Master!!!
If he were to harm Yun Wuji in any way, she would literally squash him to death, and no one would be able to protect him! Not even the Realm King!
Upon understanding this, he immediately wanted to apologize, but when he met Yun Wuji's cold, indifferent eyes, fear surged within him. Without another word, he spun around and fled, obeying Yun Wuji's command, getting lost from his sight in an instant.
"Such a low-level trick..." Yun Wuji muttered indifferently to himself as he stood there for a moment. With a shrug, he turned and began heading west.
In the western part of the sect was a massive battle stage, a place where disciples frequently fought each other. It was also where the sect's competitions were usually held.
The battle stage was extremely vast, spanning several dozen kilometers in size.
When Yun Wuji arrived, he saw dozens of disciples fighting against each other, with a few hundred more watching from the sidelines.
"Who is that?" His arrival caused people to look at him; after all, his white hair and purple eyes were too eye-catching.
"Strange, I've never seen this guy before. Could he be a new disciple?"
"Shh! I heard from my uncle's wife's son's daughter's husband's son that this guy is the new disciple of Fairy Guxie!" a man whispered in a hushed tone.
"The disciple of Fairy Guxie? How is that possible?!" The moment they heard his words, everyone around him exclaimed in shock, their voices rising in unison.
"..." The man facepalmed, wondering why he had even bothered to ask them to shut up in the first place.
Yun Wuji disregarded the gazes fixed on him, calmly making his way to the center of the stage before casually waving his hand—
Bang!
With a resounding bang, a mountain of beast cores appeared. Yun Wuji retrieved a wooden sign from his storage, quickly wrote something on it, and placed it behind him.
"What is he doing?!"
"Look at that sign; there's something written on it." The people observing him were confused by his actions.
A man read it aloud, "Anyone who can take three moves from me at the same level will win everything."
"PS: You need to pay 100 profound jade to participate."
"…"
"Is he serious?!"
"How arrogant!"
"Who does he think he is?!"
"He's the disciple of Fairy Guxie. I think he has the right to be arrogant…"
Immediately, a huge commotion erupted when they saw the mountain of profound cores and the sign behind Yun Wuji. Many stared at the cores with undisguised greed. The sheer amount of profound cores was many times greater than what the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect had in their treasury, and one could imagine how valuable that was.
If it weren't for Yun Wuji's identity, he would have already been robbed.
A man stepped forward from the crowd and approached Yun Wuji. He cupped his hands and said, "This one is Ding Dong. May I ask, brother, if what you said is true?"
Yun Wuji stood with his hands behind his back and replied casually, "Of course. Why else would I be here? As long as someone suppresses their cultivation to the 2nd-level Divine Origin Realm and can withstand three moves from me, they can take all these profound cores."
"Are you serious?" Ding Dong frowned and asked again. As he spoke, his heart began to race. If he could win, this amount of wealth would ensure he never needed resources again for the rest of his life.
"Of course!" Yun Wuji nodded casually.
Ding Dong quickly took out 100 profound jades and handed them to Yun Wuji, saying, "Brother, I would like to try my luck then."
"Good," Yun Wuji took the 100 profound jades and casually tossed them onto the mountain of profound cores. With a slight smile, he added, "If you win, you'll get your profound jades back as well."
"..." Ding Dong was stunned for a moment, wondering whether this boy in front of him was confident or just plain dumb. After a brief pause, he suppressed his cultivation from the 1st level Divine Tribulation Realm to the 2nd level Divine Origin Realm and said, "We can start whenever you want, brother."
Not to mention three moves, Ding Dong was extremely confident he could easily withstand three hundred. Even though he suppressed his cultivation to the Divine Origin Realm, his physique was still that of a cultivator at the Divine Tribulation Realm. No matter how much of a genius this kid was, Ding Dong didn't believe he couldn't handle three moves!
'Hehe, give this daddy your money,' he laughed inwardly as he gathered his profound energy.
Yun Wuji didn't care about what this guy was thinking. His goal for coming here wasn't just to gather more resources from these fat sheep, but also to showcase his talent and put an end to all the annoying idiots, like the green hat guy from earlier, who might try to stir trouble for him.
He didn't need to guess to know that the person who sent that dumb guy was either Luo Changsheng, Luo Shangchen, or maybe even both.
He could handle one person or even ten people who were finding trouble with him, but Yun Wuji was never one to be passive. The best approach was always to cut the problem off at the source.
"I will be making my move now," Yun Wuji said as he walked over.
"Go ahead, I am ready!" Ding Dong replied, his profound energy gathering around his body, forming an invisible barrier.
Yun Wuji didn't say anything more. He simply lifted his leg and threw a casual kick.
Bang—
A deafening explosion rang out, sending shockwaves through the battle stage. The profound energy surrounding Ding Dong shattered like fragile glass, and his body contorted at an impossible angle. He was sent flying across the stage, crashing toward the edge as if he were nothing more than a discarded ragdoll!
