Chapter 20 - Program and Training

"So the next day arrived, and with its arrival, I had to make a schedule to follow.

Indeed, I much prefer doing things in a planned manner rather than improvising and carrying out various activities in a disorganized way.

Having a schedule to follow instead of improvising offers several key advantages.

First of all, it provides a clear and structured guide, reducing stress and uncertainty about what to do. Additionally, a schedule helps maintain consistency and cohesion in actions, allowing better organization and time management.

Moreover, a schedule allows setting specific and measurable goals, facilitating progress monitoring and potential strategy adjustments.

Lastly, following a schedule can increase overall productivity and efficiency, as it avoids wasting time deciding on what to do next.

So it's important for me to have one and decide the order in which to carry out the construction of the training room, reading books to learn about runes and the world I'm in, and training in martial arts.

With this in mind, what should I prioritize?

Building the training room is certainly the most time-consuming task at the moment, especially because it has a deadline.

Learning about runes and understanding the world from the books my tutor brought me takes time, but it has no deadline.

The same goes for martial arts training.

Therefore, it makes sense for me to dedicate the morning (from 0 to 22) to learn about runes and read the books to gain a deeper understanding of many aspects of this world, the afternoon (from 22 to 55) to the construction of the training room, and the evening (from 55 to 72) to training in martial arts.

I chose to study only runes in the morning because I consider them only as a secondary profession.

And studying them will certainly provide me with knowledge, knowledge that equals strength when used correctly and therefore can be seen as a long-term investment.

Furthermore, due to the need to delve into various aspects of the world, I will need to further reduce the hours.

So, from 0:00 to 10, I will focus on delving into various aspects of the world through the books.

And from 10 to 22, I will concentrate on runes.

While I chose to dedicate the afternoon to building the training room because it is the task that requires immediate and greater effort at the moment.

Especially because it involves the family, which means I will really have to work hard to impress the various main members.

While I chose to train in martial arts in the evening because it's colder.

This is because training in the cold has several benefits for our body, including better and longer training.

So after finally deciding on my schedule, I can start by reading the books my tutor brought me.

So I asked her to bring me the books, and once she brought them, I chose a geography book along with one on history and philosophy.

This is because studying history, geography, and philosophy together is extremely effective as these disciplines, while distinct, overlap and influence each other, offering a holistic view of human reality.

This is because history provides the narrative of events, geography offers the stage on which these events unfold, and philosophy investigates the principles and ideas that guide human action. Together, they create a complete picture.

Indeed, historical events are often influenced by geography, while philosophy can provide the ethical basis or justification for historical actions and geographical decisions.

So philosophy can help understand the "why" behind historical and geographical changes, offering a perspective on motivations and long-term consequences.

So which book should I study first?

After asking myself this question, I was immediately able to give myself an answer.

And it was that of History.

Because it is the core of all knowledge, where events and discoveries have all been recorded in chronological order.

Just imagine the concept of history as a horizontal line.

If enlarged, the line would contain all human knowledge, including religion, science, magic, mythology, literature, art, politics, war, and economics.

Learning history will greatly reduce the time needed to strengthen other fields of study.

For this reason, it can be said that history is truly the core of knowledge.

As for books on other disciplines, I can study them after completing these.

In general, reading history books is a hassle for me.

This is because specific names of places on the continent, famous figures, and events cannot be easily memorized.

"Should I just memorize everything?"

Then I shook my head.

In fact the understanding of a subject is more important than simply memorising the words.

Understanding even a single event is the quickest way to build a solid foundation!

It won't be an easy task to understand history.

This is because one must deeply understand why such an incident was inevitable and how it influenced the future.

So, I decided to start by reading the books in chronological order of the various events that occurred, and then to read books about specific empires and regions, such as the Aurumia Empire and the region of Zatoth, which are respectively the name of the Empire and the region where I am located.

So 10 hours passed.

During these 10 hours, I discovered that there were 2 main phases:

One before the advent of Mana and one after the advent of Mana.

Before the advent of Mana, humans could be considered a medium-level race.

This is because initially, all races lived together on a single piece of land.

And the strongest was someone with a bit of physical strength.

Despite humans lacking in it, they were still able to survive and hunt thanks to the creation of weapons like spears.

Then the planet, Ligma, began to split, causing the continents to drift, and during this something incredible happened.

The planet began to create and produce Mana.

And although many have tried to explain this, no one has yet been able to provide a definitive explanation, and for this reason, it is still a highly debated topic.

With the advent of mana, the planet began to grow larger, which increased the amount of water and land.

So in general, there was much more space and food.

But it wasn't all positive changes, because with the enlargement of the planet, its gravity began to increase several times and for a while it became difficult to move and hunt.

The climate changed, becoming more extreme. Since the already cold places became even more icy and the already hot places became even hotter.

This led many races to the brink of extinction, as to survive they had to start evolving to adapt to it.

But this process of evolution and adaptation led to the extinction of many races.

While the races that survived had completely changed.

Every race had changed in a different way from another, but there was one thing that united them all: they had survived.

And to survive, they had developed new traits and characteristics that made them more capable of adapting to these new conditions, and this made each individual much stronger than before.

Over time, however, most races were not content to just survive at that level of strength, but wanted more.

So they began to become stronger and stronger, until the first mana entity was born.

With the appearance of the first mana entity, the planet began to create and produce more mana, which led to the creation of other mana entities.

With their advent, it was discovered that the traits and characteristics acquired through evolution were not the limit, but the beginning of something greater.

This is because when you become a mana entity, those traits and characteristics become better and lead to the creation of racial abilities.

Which although were called that way, they also differed among individuals of the same race but they had in common the area where they resided.

And this post Mana era, was called the "Era of Ascension".

After this Era, other eras followed, but none had such a significant change as this one, where the effects are visible until today and which also caused the first major mass extinction.

Over time, there have been many theories about the origin of a race's racial ability.

Where no one has ever been able to understand how to create the desired racial ability in a race, but there has been some progress in determining some of the factors that influence racial ability.

The first is the element of pure chance.

The random assortment of law fragments in the 3 cores makes a racial ability what it is.

This means that any racial ability is possible.

The second element is the environment.

A race does not awaken its racial ability until the mana entity stage.

This means that a race must live in its environment and survive for a while before acquiring its racial ability.

Their adaptation to the environment may have influenced the creation or expression of their racial ability.

Although there are currently exceptions to this, as some races are born directly at the mana entity stage and above.

But for others, it is hypothesized that the environment influences racial ability because it has been observed to be the case in many instances.

This phenomenon is clearer regarding elementals, as their racial ability is similar to the conditions of their environment and helps them survive better in that environment.

The third element is origin and bloodline.

Bloodlines try to reshape the descendant into the progenitor of the bloodline.

This can be seen in a myriad of effects such as:

- Talent: the descendant becomes talented in the laws the progenitor used to advance.

- Racial Ability: the descendant gains a nascent version of the progenitor's ability.

- Experience/Knowledge: the descendant acquires experience and knowledge from the progenitor.

- Behavior: the bloodline forces the descendant to act like the progenitor.

- Family Bond: the family bond of the bloodline is not based on superficial and unreliable things like emotions.

It is an instruction woven into the very fabric of their existence to care for those who belong to similar bloodlines.

Those who do not have this so-called family bond are capable of killing their closest and closest family member due to jealousy.

This is due to the lack of a family bond that should restrain them from acting on such emotion.

Those who do not have similar bloodlines tend to be cold towards each other and in cases where the sources of the bloodlines are enemies, the two descendants will be enemies.

This hatred could extend to sight killings and lead to centuries-long wars.

But although family ties are strong, this will not prevent people of different origins from liking each other, nor will it prevent people with similar blood ties from killing each other.

It will only ensure that death is justified, something that hardly happens in the first place because they usually take care of each other.

This method with bloodlines guarantees quality and certainty, but the human race, which has managed to adapt to the new conditions, managing to survive even in the Era of Ascension, has been reclassified again as a medium-level race, does not want quality in its offspring because their offspring will have their same racial ability.

It wants quantity so that the various descendants do not have their same racial ability.

This preserves the potential of their descendants.

Potential that means they can achieve better results than their parents and that the possibility is better than the quality of being copies of their parents.
