After Brandon and his group had chosen their crystals, they made their way towards their position at the back. And then, following the given instructions, they started extracting the energy of the crystals into themselves.
Ken noticed that Ron was finding it hard to do as instructed, since he wasn't in class yesterday to obtain the lectures about mediation. So he decided to help him out, he called for Angela's attention and she had carefully approached him.
He then informed her about Ron's absence in yesterday's class, and how he had no idea of what to do. Angela was surprised that many students hadn't attended her class the previous day, but still decided to help him out anyway.
Scott and Travis hadn't fail to notice Ken's unusual caring attitude towards the stranger. Not that he wasn't caring before, just that his way of caring wasn't exactly up to this.
