AURELIA'S POV:
"Leave my family out of this. They have nothing to do with anything, you bastard!" I say through gritted teeth as I stare him down.
I went through such great lengths to protect my family from harm, and I wouldn't let my efforts go to waste just like that.
"But your father is the reason you ran away from me. Even after offering you a bigger share of my business. You choose to leave. That's on them." He growls at me as he visibly vibrates with anger.
"I would never have anything to do with you or your business! And my father was sick. Don't you have any conscience?!" I ask in a bewildered tone as tears roll down my cheeks.
"All that is in the past. We have a chance to repair our relationship, and I'm going to take a chance at it." He says in a cold tone as his hands land on his belt.
Oh hell no!! I already know his intentions from his actions, he doesn't have to say a word to confirm it.
