After the event that transpired that day, Gaol can't help but curse at himself for being a busybody. 'Damn, how many times do I have to tell you to stir away from police work, they brought nothing but trouble' he muttered to himself as he stared at his reflection in the mirror.
It took a few moments for him to recover as if he reached a conclusion to himself 'If it's meant to be it will come through your door even if you didn't even want it. Let nature take its course.' Then he left his house and drove to the hospital. In which he was greeted by the bustling of the emergency department, he nodded at every nurse that greeted him and entered his office to change his clothes. 'Haist, another busy day'
While he was treating one patient from another, the phone at his office kept ringing, which made the person at the other side of the line annoyed.
"Damn, why did that ghoul of a doctor not answer his phone" Jude shouted which made everyone in the office silent. Wondering who made their team leader mad again, as he cast a harsh glare on the string of evidence and notes pinned in a tangled web. When his partner entered the room
"Why are you so quiet?" he asked the people inside but they all turned their glances at Jude who was staring at the white board. Alfred laughs as he understands everything that transpired inside the room. He walked to Jude's side then asked him "Who made you so mad early in the morning?"
"It's the doctor who asks me to solve this case, he is not answering his phone." Jude said as he glanced at his phone.
"The head of the emergency department? The one your sister always talked about? What was his name again?"
"Why are you asking so many questions? Have you done everything that I asked you to do?"
"I did, they are being sent to the lab, and for your information the emergency department of the hospital is always busy so you shouldn't expect your phone call to be answered" Alfred stated in the tone of 'as a matter of fact'
Alfred was his partner when he was first transferred in this city, though he was sometimes annoying he always did his job properly. He also loves to rub salt in his wounds.
Going back to the hospital, where Gaol was catching his breath inside his office, a knock was heard in his door.
"Come in"
Blyss came in carrying the recent examination papers.
"Doctor Gao, the examinations that you asked for regarding the patient in room 210, the results are here. (which is Louise George)."
Gaol thanked Blyss then started reading the medical jargons in the paper. During the visual inspection there are signs of trauma such as tears, bruising and irritation. There are also signs of inflammation during the rectal examination.
When Gaol looked up he gave Blyss a look as if saying why are you not leaving yet. Blyss and her fidgeting fingers mustered her courage to tell him to answer her brother's call. Which made Gaol ask, "Who was your brother again?" Blyss was dumbfounded as she can't understand how a person who has an IQ higher than Einstein can remember things easily and also forget them as fast as Flash.
"Just kidding, I remember him. The Muscle bear police officer yesterday. I'll give him a call after my shift ends."
As Blyss was getting back to the nurse station she can;t help but ask the doctors and nurses who were gossiping. "Doctor Gaol Never made a joke before, right?"
"Nope, he didn' why?t' the nurse answered.
"I must be dreaming." Blyss' response made the nurses in the station bewildered, but then thought that maybe she was just tired.
