"Alexander, this is all your fault. Now I can't eat teriyaki," Jax grumbled, shooting a sideways glance at Alex.
"If I'm the problem, just go without me, shithead," Alex replied, continuing to walk without missing a beat.
"Admit it, it's your fault. Come on, I need to find another food option before everything runs out," Jax insisted, leading the way.
"Whatever," Alex muttered, rolling his eyes. Suddenly, a voice called out to them.
"Hey!! Dwarf!!" the voice shouted.
"Who?!" Jax responded angrily, whipping around.
"Calm down, Jax. It's just him," Alex said, trying to calm his friend.
"Oh, it's just you. What do you want?" Jax asked as a tall, well-built guy with black hair approached them.
"Nothing. Just wanna say that I got the teriyaki," he said braggingly, puffing out his chest.
"Yeah, yeah, you can say whatever you want to brag about. Just wait until I steal it," Jax retorted, turning around and walking away quickly.
"Sooooo, Alex, how you doin'?" the guy asked, trying to strike up a conversation.
"Just the same, I guess. How about you, Ather?" Alex replied.
"Just like you. Nothing special going on, just the same as usual," Ather said, continuing to walk beside Alex. As the awkward situation dragged on, they finally arrived at the canteen. While walking around, they spotted a hand waving at them.
"Yoooo!! Ather! Alex!! Here!!" Jax shouted to them.
"Aight, I think I'm gonna find some food first. You go ahead, Ather," Alex said, walking away.
"Aight, then. Bye, Alex," Ather said, saluting Alex as he started approaching Jax.
"Why did Alex walk away, Ather?" Jax asked.
"Just searching for food. I think he went that way," Ather said, pointing in a direction where there was no sign of Alex.
"Huh? Alex isn't there, dude," Jax said, raising an eyebrow.
"What...? I swear I saw him walking that way," Ather said, making a confused face.
"Ahh, I don't care about him. It's because of him that I got this beef instead of teriyaki," Jax said, shrugging it off and starting to eat his food.
"Ahhh... yeah, yeah, let's just eat," Jax said, opening his teriyaki.
'Weird... I swear I saw him there just a second ago. Where did Alex go?' Ather pondered.
Meanwhile, Alexander was sitting under a tree, playing with his phone. 'So... today is the 23rd of March. Just one week before the ruins start. I need to prepare for the day,' Alex thought, looking at his phone. 'I think I remember that the first monsters to come out of the gate will be fire and lightning types. But I don't know if they'll be the same species or different...' Alexander pondered hard, thinking about what to prepare. 'I need to think it through more. I need to be myself from 20 years ago to avoid suspicion,' he mused, standing up and putting his hands in his pockets.
"Welp, no need to think hard on it," Alex said, walking away from the tree and heading back inside the school. As he walked, Alexander looked around, still amazed that he had regressed from the future. Finally, he reached the canteen and started searching for Jax and Ather. When he spotted two hands waving at him, he headed towards them until someone bumped into him, sending a cold shiver down his spine and soaking his clothes.
"Aghh!! Who in the hell?!" Alex yelled, turning around to see a group of boys laughing at his reaction.
"Next time, watch where you're going, bitch!!" one of the boys said, laughing as they walked away
Alexander stood there, dripping wet, anger simmering beneath the surface. He clenched his fists, but then remembered his purpose. He took a deep breath and decided to let it go. This was a second chance, and he had bigger concerns than petty school bullies.
He finally reached Jax and Ather, who were already eating.
"Alex!! Sleeping beauty!! Here!!" Jax called out, waving enthusiastically.
Alex joined them, still shaking off the remnants of the unexpected encounter.
"Hey, what took you so long?" Jax asked, noticing Alex's damp clothes. "And why are you wet?"
"Just some jerks who thought it would be funny to bump into me," Alex said, brushing it off.
"Ignore them, man. Come, sit and eat," Ather said, scooting over to make room.
As Alex sat down, the memories of the future kept flooding his mind. The devastation, the battles, the loss—it was all so vivid. But now, he had a chance to change everything. He had a week to prepare before the first gate would open and monsters would emerge.
"Alex! You okay?" Jax called out, snapping Alex out of his deep thoughts.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine," Alex replied, shaking his head to clear his mind.
"You spaced out there for a second," Ather added, giving Alex a curious look.
"Just thinking," Alex said, forcing a smile. Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to tremble. Plates clattered, and students around them gasped as the intensity of the quake increased.
"What's happening?!" Jax exclaimed, gripping the edge of the table.
"It's an earthquake!" Ather shouted over the rumbling.
Alex's heart raced. The ruins were speeding up. This wasn't supposed to happen yet. The air grew thick with tension as panic spread through the canteen.
"We need to get out of here!" Alex shouted, pushing his chair back and standing up, his earlier thoughts of preparation now accelerating in urgency.
As they hurriedly made their way out, Alex knew he couldn't afford to waste any more time, as they running the situation is not good. Many of the student running aimlessly and panicking
'Fuck !! is the ruins really started now ?!' alexander pondered while still running beside jax and ather tryna get out of the school
"Jax !! hurry up will ya !!?!" Alexander seeing jax pant heavily and sweats run down his clothes
"Shut up you fucks ! im running as fast as i can bitch !!" Jax angrily replied while still trying his best to run. Meanwhile ather is in the lead.
"Ather !! you can leave us two !! just find safety first!" Alex called to ather and ather just look back and nod at him then his speed went up and leaving alex and jax
"Jax !! can you keep up with me !?" Alex asking jax seeing him panting really heavily
"I think i cant !! just leave me here alex !! you just go !" Jax replying to alex asking him to leave him
"For fuck sake !!" Alex rant and slow down to jax pace.
"Come on !! hop on my back !!" Alex said to jax while offering his back to jax
"Aight then!! Just don't complain that I'm heavy, will ya!" Jax said, accepting Alex's generosity and hopping onto his back. Without hesitation, Alex tightened his grip and started running, his pace gradually increasing.
"Hang on, dwarf!!" Alex called out as he sprinted through the corridors of the school. Students and faculty stared in surprise as they zoomed past, their footsteps echoing against the walls.
The ground continued to shake beneath them, the tremors intensifying with each passing moment. Alex's mind raced with thoughts of the impending disaster, knowing that every second counted.
As they burst through the school doors into the open air, a chilling sight greeted them. The sky, once serene and blue, had turned a deep, ominous shade of red. Clouds swirled in turmoil, casting an eerie glow over everything below. Gasps and cries of fear filled the air as students and teachers alike stared up in disbelief.
"What's happening?!" Jax shouted, clinging tighter to Alex's back.
'Fuckin hell its already at this stage ?!' alex pondered on his thought.
There's 4 stage of the ruins
1st.The earthquake that shook the whole world to a stop
2nd.The sky turned from blue to an ominous dark red like blood.
3rd. The opening of the gate
4th. $#$@*&$#@.
Thats the stage of the ruins. and its already stage two making Alex surprised that its faster than before, is the regressed of Alexander sorter making the timeline damage ? or is it another factor that caused all of this ?...
