The fine sand on the ocean floor rippled gently as Sangmo swam forward in a doggy paddle style.
With her eyes closed, she extended her consciousness to its fullest extent. Among the myriad of creatures on the ocean floor, Sangmo caught sight of a humanoid entity in an underwater cavern.
It had the face of a human but the body of a fish, and it seemed aware of the danger lurking in the depths. It hid in the cavern, peeking out its head quietly.
Looking around cautiously, its brow slightly furrowed, a pair of deep blue eyes sparkled like gems with an evil gleam, its visage bearing a hint of scheming.
Sangmo's instincts told her something was off, so she swam towards the direction of that entity.
The cavern was overgrown with seaweed, through which Sangmo weaved, following the route she had sensed earlier to advance swiftly.
She had heard from Ze Lin about such creatures, called Chiguan, which were said to have delicious flesh that could cure diseases when eaten by humans.
