The bedroom was quiet, clearly devoid of anyone else but her.
Ye Wanwan got out of bed, slipped into her slippers, and walked out of the bedroom, intending to look for Shen Yi.
She first headed to the study next door, but upon opening the door, she found Shen Yi was not there. Ye Wanwan then went downstairs and saw only the maids moving about—still no sign of Shen Yi.
Ye Wanwan was puzzled. Why was there no sight of him so early in the morning?
Had he gone to the company?
As she wondered, Ye Wanwan saw a maid approaching and directly called out to her, "Hey, where did Shen Yi go?"
"Madam," the maid greeted her before responding, "The master left last night."
"He left last night?" Ye Wanwan furrowed her brows.
The maid nodded and answered truthfully, "Madam, you had too much to drink last night; you might not have been aware when the master left."
"Did he say anything else?" Ye Wanwan asked, still frowning.
