"You're the silly one," Ye Wanwan retorted.
Shen Yi didn't say anything more; he simply picked up Ye Wanwan and carried her back to the bedroom.
He set Ye Wanwan down on the bed and then knelt on one knee, reaching under the bed for her slippers.
The man effortlessly fetched the slippers and crouched in front of Ye Wanwan, holding her feet as he helped her slide them on.
After she had her slippers on, Shen Yi remained in his kneeling position, looking at Ye Wanwan as he said, "You go wash up first; lunch isn't ready yet, I need to prepare it."
"Okay," Ye Wanwan's cheeks flushed, and her voice was quite soft.
Shen Yi, amused, touched her head and then stood up and left the bedroom.
By the time Ye Wanwan finally finished her leisurely wash-up and came out, Shen Yi had almost finished preparing lunch, with only one soup still simmering in the pot.
