Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: View of the woods

Our room was large with walls made with pine wood just like everything else. There were two beds with white sheets covering it, soft and cozy just what I wanted to lie on. A round wooden table sits at the corner of the room with two arm chairs at both sides, a perfect place to work comfortably. A set of glass doors separates the room with the balcony outside, above it was a white curtain with flower patterns on them. Closets and drawers were located next to the bathroom door, towels were already prepared inside of the closet. I have to say this room should cost way more than 3 silver coins, everything was so clean and nice. I walked over and put our things in the closet while Mimi was opening the balcony doors, a cool wind blown into the room carrying with it the smell of the forest outside. I stood up and walked over to Mimi who was standing on the open balcony, I stood there admiring the view for a bit as the wind blew through my hair. I would like to enjoy this while it lasts, this made me remember something long ago. It was just like this for me and my mother, I was so happy. This time I'll make this feeling last until the end.

- This is so nice isn't it? I said, my eyes were still fixed on the green tree tree and the blue sky.

- Yea… It's much cooler now too, I feel much better. It's already four o'clock. Mimi was standing on the balcony's rails admiring the view.

The wind was blowing, the birds were chirping, it feels like there is nothing in this world to worry about. There will be even more places like this out there in the world, I can't wait until I can see them. A lovely forest and mountains in the distant land, it's like a painting.

- We'll be going through that forest to get to the borders. There's a trail going through it, look! Mimi said her small hand pointed to the small dirt road leading inside the thick blanket of trees.

- Oh… That's right, I almost forgot something. Do you think they use passports in this world? I don't have any. I said a bit uncertain since it seemed a bit unlikely, but I just want to be sure.

- You bet they do. But don't worry we can make one now if you like. Mimi looks like she heard something she likes.

- You can do that? I was baffled, I don't think she has that much authority.

- Yes passports are issued by the countries' royalty, and you are a princess. That means you still have the authority to make and issue your own passport. But you need a new name. Mimi said with a smirk on her face she's probably pleased with this.

- If so, should we start doing that now? We'll be busy in the evening . I said as I walked back into the room and sat down on one of the arm chairs.

- Okay! then let's make one for each of us. Mimi said running back inside and sat down on the other arm chair.

- Let's figure out our new names first. Have any good ideas? Mimi dangling her legs said. Then she pulled out two bank passports from her pocket. On them all of our information has already been added. The only thing missing from it are names and a signature.

- It's written here that we are sisters, are you sure about that? I said I was a bit confused.

- It would be weird to be traveling with a small kid that you're not related to, isn't it? And we have the same eye color. Mimi said pointing to her eyes.

- I don't think we'll fool anybody with just that. I said unamused with her answer.

- Let's see…hm… what do you think about Kate …Isabel Ellis that's for me. I said.

- That's a nice name! How about me ?Mimi said excitedly.

- Yow want a new name too huh? Alright,...um…Lilian Ellis, is that okay ?

- Yes, that sounds nice too! oki? She said giving me a thumbs up.

We quickly filled out our names on passports and I signed it.

-Now that we've got a new name, let's call each other by our new nicknames too! You'll be Isa and I'll be Lily. Mimi said jumping, I should be calling her Lily now too.

- Now that everything is done let's discuss how we'll get to the borders, do you want to walk or ride. Mimi now Lily asked me.

- How long would it take to walk? I asked

- About… three days, we can go camping on the way. And it's 1 day by cart. Lily answered.

- Let's walk, I like camping. I said.

- Me too! Lily smiled.

- You sure know a lot about this world Lily. I said.

- I had everything programmed in my head when I got here, they think it's more convenient this way. Lili said

She Has always been a mystery to me, I don't know anything about her. It would be nice to know her more, we've only met each other this morning though why do i care so much… It's not logical, she is just like someone I knew… my little sister Anne. Anne died when she was four because of the abuse. I was seven at that time, I can't remember her face anymore. It feels like I have a little sister again for some reason. Why did I even think of her, she's gone… but.

- Hey Lily… you said something about us being sisters right? Can we… really be sisters to each other? I asked, leaning my head against the wall and closing my eyes… waiting for her answer.

I remember now… they no, she was just like Lily. She has the same face, the same short curls, the same smile. She was just as energetic, just as kind. She was my sister… she was until she wasn't anymore.

- Please… be my sister again. I slowly opened my eyes again, I saw Anne. She was just like before, so small and fragile. Why didn't I do something back then? I could have told someone, they would have helped us. Maybe she would still be alive, living happily even. We could have escaped so why…

-I'm so sorry…

- You don't have to say sorry, you've always been a great big sis to me. she came and hugged me

In a blink of an eye Anne disappeared and in my arms was Lily, She is not Anne she is Lily and only Lily. Anne is gone, that's right, but Lily is here for me. I won't let her end up the same way. Lily is and will be my sister till the end of this life and I'll cherish that.

- You are such a sweet child, do you know that. I said, it was like a dream life is finally worth living.

- Uh… big sis I think that it's about time we get some dinner, it's going to be a long way to walk. Lily said.

- Don't worry I think this hotel will serve us food. I said I was completely confident that it would.

 Turns out I was wrong.

Lily- This is ridiculous

Me- Sorry

-Can't wait till tomorrow, Camping sounds lovely… I Hope it doesn't rain. I told Lily as we chewed on our cheese sandwiches.

- Me too. Lily told me.

That day was the only day that it didn't rain... for the next whole week.
