Wei Shiran hadn't drunk much, but he didn't drive himself. After putting Li Rao in the car, Li Rao commanded the driver in a rush, "Drive."
"Madam, the young master isn't in the car yet," the driver replied.
Li Rao frowned in displeasure, not really listening to what he was saying, and just repeated, "Drive!"
The driver was in a bit of quandary but, after a glance at Li Rao, he made up his mind and indeed drove off without waiting for Wei Shiran to get in.
Wei Shiran had planned to make a phone call before getting in the car, but before he could even finish the call, he heard the sound of the car engine, turned around, and saw that his car had left him behind, trailing only exhaust fumes.
"What's going on?" Wei Shiran muttered to himself, dumbfounded.
"What's going on? Shiran, who are you talking to?" His friend's puzzled voice came through the phone, confused by his sudden change of subject.
