The girl in the white porcelain bathtub had her long ponytail casually tied on top of her head in a big Daoist nun-like bun, with a few stray strands falling down, forming wet streaks and beaded with droplets, cute and lively.
The steam was misty, and the man's gaze became deeper and deeper.
"You, you, you better not mess around! I, I, I'll scream!" She even stammered while speaking.
Her adorably clueless look made Han Luoli unable to suppress his chuckle.
The man did not speak, simply maintaining a calmly engaged demeanor as he casually took the towel from her hands and began seriously wiping her down.
His facial features were tightly drawn, giving him a look of seriousness as if he was at work.
"You're, you're, you're not trying to take advantage of me, are you?" Gu Xiaoer said with a bewildered face.
A low chuckle spilled from the corners of the man's mouth. Han Luoli's gaze was calm, his handsome features relaxed – he was absolutely smitten with the girl's amusing antics.
"Who, who, who would fancy that?!" He mimicked her response, lifting the towel in his hand with an expression that read, "Don't flatter yourself. This CEO was just passing by and decided to help you scrub."
"!" The girl's cheeks blushed crimson, and her teeth chattered from embarrassment.
This man was so annoying, so detestable! He had barged in maliciously and still maintained an indifferent, aloof air.
Initially like a little wild beast on guard against him, she found out he was just simply helping her bathe, leaving her both mortified and irritated.
Help me scrub, huh?
Fine then, scrub away!
Baby fears nothing!
Just as the two of them were entangled in their thoughts, a voice from beyond this world interrupted them.
"Knock knock knock!"
The room's door-knocking sound erupted without warning.
"Miss Xiao Er, your clothes are ironed and ready." Sister Sun knocked on the door and wondered to herself why she hadn't seen the master for so long.
While thinking this, the girl's voice came from the room: "Sister Sun! Come quick—"
Having said this, Gu Xiaoer looked at Han Luoli with disdain: "Your service skills are lacking; I'll have Sister Sun help me scrub!"
Han Luoli: ???
It seemed that it was time to arrange some work for Sister Sun.
The following morning.
Han Luoli got up early, and as soon as he entered the kitchen, he saw Sister Sun busily preparing breakfast.
Remembering how Sister Sun had interrupted them the night before, his dashing face fell, turning as somber and stony as a bronze mask.
He pondered that it was time to find some other tasks for Sister Sun.
"Sister Sun." Han Luoli leaned against the kitchen door frame with crossed arms, his posture effortlessly cool.
"Oh, Master!" Sister Sun, no stranger to his good looks, was instead startled by his silent arrival, her heart still pounding.
Undisturbed, Han Luoli continued in a languid tone, "Sister Sun, I'm sick."
"Master, what's the matter? Are you feeling unwell?" Sister Sun turned around alarmed. Her master was unusually sturdy and rarely fell ill. Today's sudden sickness again set her heart racing.
She hurried over to examine him closely. Aside from a sulky face, he looked fine otherwise and did not carry the sullenness of a sick person.
After a quick thought, Sister Sun understood immediately; the master was clearly as healthy as could be, merely making a fuss about nothing!
Internally rolling her eyes, she advised, "Master, if you're sick, call Doctor Shen, huh? Sister Sun can't treat illnesses."
Han Luoli, unfazed, tossed his head in a haughty manner: "Sister Sun, I need you to fetch me some medicine." Preferably the kind that takes all day to buy.
"..." Master, if you think I'm superfluous and in your way like a glaring light bulb, just say it!
Before Sister Sun could agree, she heard the man's triumphant voice again, "Sister Sun, my head is burning up; I need to lie down. There's still someone who hasn't woken up in the house; remember to call them..."
