Wen Mu was startled, his face turned deathly pale as he looked at the man who had transformed into a bloodthirsty devil.
"I am asking you, where did you get this from!" He seized the woman's fair neck with one hand, his tiger's mouth clenching tightly as he looked down from above with not a hint of warmth in his eyes.
"Luoli..." Wen Mu's voice changed tone, his eyes misty with tears, "I... this is mine..."
"Don't tell me this is yours." Han Luoli snorted with contempt, releasing the woman's grip, indifferent to her suffocation and discomfort.
The woman stood frozen, her teeth chattering.
"This is really mine..."
Slowly, the man's lips curled into an undisguised look of disgust: "A shameless woman with underhanded tactics, do you think I would believe a word you say?"
Wen Mu laughed, tears streaming down as her eye makeup smeared, "I am shameless, my tactics are underhanded? Han Luoli, have you forgotten what you yourself have done?!"
"Wen Mu." The man's ruthless figure paused, and after a moment of silence, the corners of his mouth slowly formed a smile, but the breath he exhaled was icy cold, penetrating to the bone: "I haven't stopped regretting knowing you for a single moment."
With that, the man turned and walked towards the hospital. Along the lengthy corridor, his tall figure strode away with such firm resolve.
Wen Mu sobbed softly, in agony she covered her eyes, her back sliding slowly down the wall as she no longer had any strength to support herself...
At three in the morning, outside the VIP ward.
Han Luoli looked at the small figure who had fallen asleep on the hospital bed, his tired face finally softening.
Sister Sun felt a presence outside and hurriedly put on her clothes to come out.
"Sir, you're awake! How are you, why didn't the hospital notify us at all!" Sister Sun checked Han Luoli up and down, relieved to see that apart from being full of hostility and looking unwell, there were no other obvious injuries.
"Sister Sun, I am fine, don't blame the hospital, I didn't let them notify anyone." His gaze complex as he looked into the room with the hospital bed, he asked, "Is she doing all right?"
"No good! After waking up yesterday morning, she kept vigil outside your ward, refusing to leave at all costs. It took a lot of effort to finally drag her back here. Doctor Shen, fearing she'd collapse from exhaustion, added some tranquilizers to her IV. She has only just gotten an hour of sleep..."
"Sister Sun, take good care of her." Han Luoli pursed his lips and turned to leave.
"Sir!" Sister Sun's heart skipped a beat, as if sensing something, "Aren't you going to come in and see her?"
The man's tall figure paused, looking back at the ward with deep longing.
How could he not want to? He was so desperate for her it drove him mad.
From the moment he first woke up, she filled his thoughts, wishing he could have come to hold her, to watch over her, right away.
On the bed, the girl with her eyes tightly closed seemed to be sleeping restlessly, her mouth slightly open, making noises, seemingly talking in her sleep. This was followed by more pronounced movements, her hands helplessly clawing at the air.
"Da Luoluo, hurry up... get away..."
Sister Sun looked with pity for a moment, then quickly went into the ward to comfort the girl submerged in her nightmare, casting a deep glance at the man standing motionless at the door, gently saying, "Sir, what's in the past doesn't matter anymore. Isn't this moment now, what's more important?"
The man's towering figure jolted, as if his heart had been struck by a blunt axe, ripping apart freshly and crudely, the pain piercing his marrow. This pain, much worse than any physical injury, was hundreds of times more agonizing...
With long strides, he approached the bed in a few steps, his arrival like a gust of wind, and held the helplessly struggling figure in his arms tightly.
"Baby, I am here, I am…" He hugged her tightly, the kind that infused into his bones and blood. His back ached from the pull on his wound, it tearing apart, but it didn't affect his actions in the slightest.
