Wei Feng followed into the villa and, by the time Han Luoli came down from upstairs, he had changed into a light gray casual T-shirt and trousers. The man now looked less decisive than he did in a suit, appearing more serene and handsome. He walked with one hand in his pocket, every move exuding elegance and dignity.
Even he, a grown man, couldn't help but take a few extra glances at this domestic version of the Boss.
By the time he snapped back to his senses, the big Boss had already walked past him. His young face flushed red, and he hurriedly followed to give his work report in a formal manner.
The man stood with his back to him, looking out of the enormous floor-to-ceiling window, standing quietly, his feelings indecipherable, occasionally responding with a "hmm" to indicate he was listening.
"Hold on a second,"
Han Luoli turned his body slightly and extended his finger in a halting gesture, his gaze falling outside the window. A hint of pleasure appeared between his brows, and his whole demeanor softened.
Wei Feng was startled again and quickly shifted his gaze to look out the window. From where they stood, they could see the main road in front of the villa perfectly.
"Wei Feng, you may leave now," Han Luoli said, issuing an emotionless dismissal, seamlessly switching between tenderness and ruthlessness.
"Boss, there are two more matters I haven't reported…"
Sister Sun, who had been busy all day, poked half her body out from the kitchen door upon hearing the noise and saw a somewhat gloomy Wei Feng.
"Xiao Feng, don't leave. Weren't you going to eat at home? Don't you like shrimp? The master had it specially prepared."
Wei Feng forced a smile with a creased brow, Sister Sun, it's not that I want to leave.
Glancing at his own Boss and seeing there was no sign of him asking him to stay, he bit his teeth, "No thank you, Sister Sun, I don't like shrimp. There's still work at the office; I should leave now. You go ahead with your business."
"Ah, leaving already, with all this food…" Sister Sun turned back into the kitchen with a sigh of regret.
After Wei Feng was out of the way, Han Luoli once again pursed his lips in pleasure.
Watching the small figure approaching in the distance, he timed his steps and walked to the kitchen door, "Sister Sun, someone is knocking at the door."
Without even lifting her head, Sister Sun continued to arrange the fruit plate, "Sir, in the year and a half since you've had this villa, not even a thief has come by; how could there possibly be someone knocking at your door?"
As she spoke, she even exhaled a sigh, "What's the use of earning all that money if you have no woman to spend it for you?"
She had looked after him for over a decade and had never seen him live like a normal person with a normal life. Despite being in the prime of his youth, he lived like an old man, immersed in work and social engagements, not even dating a girlfriend.
"…Sister Sun, there really is someone knocking."
FInally somewhat skeptical, Sister Sun looked up and uttered an "eh," "There really is someone. The alarm's going off, too."
With that, she scurried out the door.
The loud alarm kept sounding, and Han Luoli's gaze turned stern. Weren't the doors left open? Why then had someone set off the alarm?
As Han Luoli strode outside, he saw Sister Sun pulling something through the door—a person with an explosive perm, big sunglasses, big face mask, and hip-hop clothes looking like a ruffian.
"Big sister, please let me go. I really went to the wrong door!"
"Girl, what door did you go to? You clearly scaled the wall, okay?"
"Big sister... So what if I scaled the wrong wall…" she still looked utterly aggrieved.
The man's stride faltered, his handsome face seeming to crack. Was this the adorable, silly girl they had at home?
Gu Xiaoer, with her keen eyes, spotted Han Luoli and, as if seeing a savior, broke free from Sister Sun and cried out as she rushed over, "Husband, you can't treat me like this!"
Husband…
Husband?!
