Gu Xiaoer's small face turned red, "Da Luoluo, can you not speak so bluntly, please?"
After struggling in his embrace for a bit, she thought that Han Luoli would carry her to the bedroom, but to her surprise, he set her down in the study instead.
"Did you work on any drafts today?" Han Luoli put down Gu Xiaoer and walked a few steps to the large desk, noticing the drafts laid out, the fruits of Gu Xiaoer's recent efforts.
His gaze unconsciously fell on them as he thoroughly examined the drafts.
"This creativity is quite impressive," Han Luoli praised generously.
On the contrary, Gu Xiaoer pouted, full of doubt that he would understand.
"If these few parts could be modified, this proposal could be even more perfect," he said, picking up a pencil and lightly marking a few places.
As Han Luoli finished marking, Gu Xiaoer's pursed lips slowly widened, finally staring at Han Luoli with her mouth agape.
Once Han Luoli had finished annotating the draft, Gu Xiaoer felt as though her knees were shattered, "Da Luoluo, you must tell me if your college major was related to this field?"
Looking at her adorable expression, Han Luoli thought for a moment, "Sort of." In college, he had majored in Architectural Design and also studied Management.
Gu Xiaoer blinked and suddenly started circling around Han Luoli.
"I now realize that you're a hidden master!"
Han Luoli gave her a look that seemed to say 'you're just noticing now?'
Gu Xiaoer, stroking her chin, continued, "You've got the looks, you've got the talent, how did you ever get sidetracked like this?"
Having said that, she looked genuinely upset and concerned.
Instantly, Han Luoli's face darkened, thinking that in her eyes, he was still just a gigolo!
He asked, "What if my true identity isn't what you think? Or say if I were a CEO or something?"
Gu Xiaoer held her stomach and laughed heartily. After she finished laughing, she earnestly mused, "Your appearance and demeanor do fit the part. Probably you've mastered it by playing such roles over the years. If you were a CEO, why would you bother with my tiny temple instead of staying at your grand villa?"
"What if I wanted to?" Han Luoli asked persistently.
"I don't want that!"
Gu Xiaoer, taking his seriousness seriously, spoke from the heart, "Da Luoluo, as a friend, if you were a CEO, I'd be happy for you. That way, you wouldn't have to sell your body like this. But then, if you were a CEO, I could only look but not touch..."
Her gaze dimmed, and Gu Xiaoer shook her head. The disparity in their statuses, how could they easily be overcome?
Han Luoli's heart skipped a beat. He didn't understand this little woman's thoughts. Typically, when someone hears about a lofty status, they'd either be happy or try to ingratiate themselves, but her expression wasn't like that.
Suddenly, he felt that if his true identity were revealed, this woman might drift away from him.
But how could he let her go? From the moment he knew there was hope for him to be free, he had been eagerly anticipating keeping her by his side, starting a family with her, and living happily ever after. These naive and emotional thoughts, which he had never had before, all surged out at that moment.
Warmth, just for her alone.
Gu Xiaoer's attention was no longer on Han Luoli, so naturally, she didn't notice the fleeting complexity in his eyes.
She focused on the design drafts marked by Han Luoli, her eyes sparkling like bright stars.
"Da Luoluo, these touches of yours are truly the finishing stroke. I always felt something was missing and racked my brain for several days without coming up with a good solution. I didn't expect you would point it out so effortlessly. You're a genius!"
