On the morning Feng Ying and Xiao Ju left, the sky was overcast.
They took some valuables and clothes and left behind only a letter.
After moving, they relocated from the west side of the Imperial City to the east, settling in an alley inside Dongzhi Gate.
So today, they headed south out of the Capital from Dongzhi Gate.
A carefully-prepared carriage took them to Tianjin, from where they would take a boat further south.
Feng Ying sat inside the carriage, lifting the curtain to watch the comings and goings of people inside and outside of Dongzhi Gate.
There were so many people, but not the one she wanted to see.
Finally, she let the curtain fall, and the carriage started to move.
Xiao Ju and she then left the Capital, heading towards Jiangnan.
Two shi chen after they left, it began to snow.
The Crown Prince, accompanied by Dongbao, went to Niutou Alley – the small courtyard where they had lived before moving.
