Soon, the meal was served.
Both Fourth Master and Ye Zao had good appetites.
They both ate quite a bit, including the squirrel-shaped mandarin fish which Ye Zao was certain Fourth Master did not particularly like; yet, he actually consumed quite a lot of it.
Although he wasn't fond of sweet flavors, the taste of the fish was, indeed, pretty good.
So, the more they ate, the more delicious it seemed.
The two of them together finished off one whole fish.
This was actually a bit rude, but Fourth Master did not care—in his own backyard, there was no need to mind how one ate or drank.
Having eaten their fill and drunk to satisfaction, both were a bit overfed.
Ye Zao laughed, "It's my fault for leading Master astray. Master, you mustn't send me away today; I truly can't move. I beg Master to let me be slumped."
Fourth Master also laughed, pinching her cheek, "Speak properly, what do you mean 'be slumped'..."
