Fourth Master hummed in response. It was gratifying to see a gift being appreciated.

"Not at the moment, but I will tell Master if there is," Ye Zao said obediently, sitting in Fourth Master's arms. She placed the jade carving on the table and then extended her hand to hook around Fourth Master's neck, leaning her head against his chest.
She appeared very eager for Fourth Master's company. "It's been quite a few days since I saw Master."
Fourth Master made a sound of acknowledgment, not minding her impolite gesture, gently wrapping his arm around her delicate waist.
