"Where are you going?"
Lu Yang was still pondering whether there would be any changes with Lin Qingxue, but just as he got home, he found Lin Qingxue hurriedly grabbing her bag and heading downstairs, looking ready to go out.
"There's been an accident at the construction site, someone died. I'm going to see what exactly happened," Lin Qingxue said in haste.
"By yourself?" Lu Yang frowned.
"Ling'er has family issues, and you know that!" Lin Qingxue said, "Besides, I won't be alone, people from the group will meet me at the construction site!"
"I'll come with you!" Lu Yang said directly, "I can't rest easy with you going out alone at night."
"No need..." Lin Qingxue subconsciously rejected.
But Lu Yang had already pulled her out the door and into the car, without further ado.
Once the car left the villa, Lin Qingxue didn't bring up the 'no need' again.
"What happened at the construction site? How did someone die?" Lu Yang asked while driving.
