"Hmm," Tang Huai nodded, smiling faintly with a distant yet polite expression, "Brother Jing Xuan, thank you for bringing me back."
Jing Xuan slightly curled his lips upward, said nothing more, and turned to leave the house.
After he left, Tang Huai and Tang Li went to take a bath.
Having finished her bath, Tang Huai came out to find Liu Xiaoyu still sitting in the living room, apparently waiting for her.
"Tang Huai, what's going on between you and Young Master Jing? Why was he with you so late at night?" Liu Xiaoyu looked at Tang Huai nervously.
"Mom, it's only ten o'clock, not that late," Tang Huai laughed.
"It's already late at night!"
"I ran into him on my way back from Aunt Xiao's house. He said he couldn't sleep and was walking around the village, so he walked me and Tang Li home."
"I've noticed lately, you two have been very close," Liu Xiaoyu frowned, her expression filled with worry. "If this continues, I'm afraid the villagers will start gossiping about you."
