Ye Ling started complaining, "In the middle of the night, when we finally caught a living person, you scared them off. How are we supposed to investigate the case now?"
Zhang Qian, who was beside Ye Ling, smacked her lips and said, "You're a grown man, but you're nagging like an old lady. What's the point?"
"Let's go. I refuse to believe that I can't help you find another living person. Come on, let's wait at the dormitory over there."
Zhang Qian said and dragged Ye Ling away. Ye Ling sighed, thinking it looked like they'd come back empty-handed tonight; he was utterly convinced of his misfortune.
On one side of the dormitory was a vast lawn dotted with fitness equipment installed for the company employees to work out.
Ye Ling sat on a piece of equipment, idly pedaling, when suddenly Zhang Qian's eyes bulged, and she trembled, her speech unclear.
"Ghost… Ye… Ye Ling, look quickly. It's really… a ghost, oh my god!"
