Nowadays, Tang Ye is actually quite famous in Yanjing, but because he comes from a humble background, he's basically not recognized. Anyone with a slightly respectable position, or serving as a lackey in a prominent family, thinks they are a cut above Tang Ye. That's nothing more than borrowing the tiger's fierceness, a dog flaunting its master's power.
Facing these people, Tang Ye always found them laughable. Offspring of prominent families were, after all, a minority; many others were also from humble beginnings, bootlicking their way up step by step. When they looked down on others, why didn't they think back to their own origins? Or is it precisely because of their own past that they bully others even more, seeking a sense of superiority?
