I held Min'er's hand, walking with her around the hospital's corridors. Min'er seemed dissatisfied, "Wen, it's so boring here, and I don't have anything to do. Why don't we go outside for a walk?"
Actually, my heart was completely uneasy about Min'er's condition. She was acting too normal, not at all like someone suffering from a psychological illness. I was worried she was harboring some unknown thoughts inside.
I shook my head gently, refusing in a soft voice, "It's still a bit cold outside today. How about we go out when the weather gets better, okay?"
Min'er pouted, "You, always treating me like a child. I don't believe what you say."
I reached out and lightly touched the soft strands of hair on Min'er's head, "Be good, when have I ever made a promise to you and not kept it, right? You have to believe in Wen."
"Fine, I'll reluctantly trust that you're different from those other horrible men," Min'er said with a tinge of haughtiness, but she still tightly held onto my hand.
