In the dark environment, the air seemed to congeal, with specks of crimson in my hand the only points of light in the blackness. A light wispy smoke curled around me, and even though I couldn't see it clearly, I could distinctly smell it.
The faint tobacco scent calmed my otherwise agitated cells. Once the cigarette burned out, I lay down steadily on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.
