Hong Ruru thought I was just bluffing, and though a hint of disdain flashed through her eyes, she suppressed it. She looked down at the spot I was pointing to and her eyes filled with shock.
Of course, I knew what shocked her. She probably thought I couldn't possibly identify any defects, that I was merely posturing.
But now that I had pointed out the problem, she evidently felt she had hit a snag.
Looking at the issue with the chip in front of her, Hong Ruru didn't know how to react for a moment. It wasn't a major problem; the power had been a bit too high during focusing, but it would affect the use of the entire series of chips in machinery.
After a while, Hong Ruru found her voice, shaky and her expression unnaturally tense, but she quickly composed herself and apologized to me, "Mr. Lin, please wait here for a moment, I need to deal with this issue."
I nodded, aware that what followed was not something I could handle, so I stood aside and waited.
