Zhang Hao had made up his mind, and just as he was about to speak, the chief of surgery beat him to it.
"Leader, I'm managing such a large department by myself, and I'm so busy every day that my feet hardly touch the ground. I really don't have enough energy."
That meant he was not willing to be promoted and preferred to keep shining in his current position.
Zhang Hao stopped the chief of surgery from continuing to speak impulsively.
"That's not acceptable, Director. With your capabilities, how can you just remain a minor director? If you ask me, you should be grateful for the leader's appreciation."
The chief of surgery waved his hands repeatedly, even pushing Zhang Hao forward.
"I know my own limits; I'm aware of how much I can handle, and besides, you're young and energetic, capable of taking on more responsibilities for the hospital."
Before the leader could even speak, the chief of surgery excused himself first, citing the urgent need to treat patients.
