As she spoke, Li Dan felt the wandering hand that had been playing across her chest had, without her noticing, moved down to the area of her lower abdomen, or even further.
"Hey, stop it, the police are coming up," Li Dan hurriedly said.
Zhao Chi originally thought Li Dan was tricking him, but a glance out of the corner of his eye confirmed that there were indeed a few police officers getting out of their cruiser.
Although he didn't know if the police were there for him, he felt it prudent to take precautions. So, he quickly separated from Li Dan, and they both adjusted their clothes.
Li Dan forcefully pinched Zhao Chi down there, but his hardness was like iron, unyielding to her strength, and she felt a warm trickle threatening to flow down between her legs.
Li Dan thought if she stayed there any longer, she would eventually give in, so she indignantly said, "I'm leaving, wait until you get discharged!"
After speaking, without waiting for Zhao Chi to reply, she ran out as if fleeing.
Li Dan sniffed her hand and snorted coldly, muttering curses, "This little pervert, still claims there's nothing going on with Yao Yu, what's this smell then?"
In the hospital room, Zhao Chi did the same sniffing gesture as Li Dan, but his face bore an expression of enjoyment—so fragrant!
However, the fire that he'd kindled today was not going to be extinguished, did he really need to rub one out?
Shortly thereafter, several police officers knocked and entered the room.
Zhao Chi was slightly startled, not expecting the officers to actually be looking for him.
The one in charge was a capable-looking female officer in her late twenties, dressed in uniform, exuding a spirited aura with her bobbed hair and a face full of determination, evoking a modern-day Hua Mulan.
"Zhao Chi?" the female officer inquired.
Zhao Chi nodded.
"My name is Shu Ting, I am the deputy captain of River Town's Criminal Police Team. Now, I have a few questions to ask you," the officer said coldly.
What followed were the normal questions recorded in a statement. As the victim, Zhao Chi was forthcoming and embellished his story, making himself out to be most pitiful.
However, at Yao Yu's prompting, Zhao Chi did not mention the near assault.
Yet, Officer Shu Ting's expression did not change a bit, ice-cold to the point of being unreal.
This annoyed Zhao Chi somewhat, since as the victim, he felt like he was being interrogated like a murder suspect.
"Settled privately or publicly?" Shu Ting asked.
"Privately!" Zhao Chi said stubbornly, "I want compensation for my medical bills, nutrition fees, and emotional distress!"
Shu Ting's brows slightly furrowed, "Specify the amount. We are busy and don't have time to haggle with you."
Are you on your period or something?
Zhao Chi wanted to curse, but faced with the uniform, he couldn't bring himself to do so, and could only mumble, "Reimburse all my medical bills and an additional one hundred thousand yuan! Otherwise, we can go public and wait for jail time! And you won't need to come to find me again!"
After everything was recorded, Shu Ting, accompanied by the other officers, prepared to leave.
That's when Zhao Chi suddenly asked, "By the way, officer, if... I decide to get a circumcision, could I get Ji Kun to reimburse that too?"
Shu Ting's expression changed and she spat out coldly, "Disgusting!"
Zhao Chi widened his eyes, how is wanting a circumcision disgusting?
In the end, it was another officer who provided the answer, stating that it was entirely a matter to be settled privately with Ji Kun, and they had no say in it. The only reason they got involved was due to Ji Kun currently being detained at the police station, and with Zhao Chi having just woken up, they were there to mediate.
