Eagle Sorrow Valley was a canyon flanked by three large mountains, with only one narrow exit leading out, and that exit was not on the same side as Heini Village. The village itself was just a high cliff, so no one would think to look for them there.
After Ji Yang arrived with his group, they quickly headed towards that cliff.
In the darkness, the beam of their flashlights shone down.
"Chief Ji, no one will be down here," a village cadre said at that moment.
"Be quiet," Ji Yang hushed him as if he had heard a noise.
"Is there anyone down there?" Ji Yang shouted loudly.
"Help..."
Sure enough, a voice came from below.
"There really is someone!"
Everyone was astonished; in fact, they had come to this spot during the day but had left after a cursory look, never imagining someone might be below.
Ji Yang was also surprised, but now was not the time to think too much, he quickly instructed everyone, "Prepare the ropes; we're going down to rescue them."
