The sudden situation scared the crap out of me, and I instinctively stepped back, raising my head only to realize the person blocking my way was actually Xiao Yun, brother of Vice President Xiao.
I barely knew him; I only recognized him from photos I had seen before.
But what surprised me even more was that he was released just an hour or two after getting arrested. It seems that Vice President Xiao truly has some pulls and connections.
Xiao Yun was wearing a suit, but due to his skinny frame, he couldn't fill it out. His cheeks were slightly sunken, his cheekbones prominent, and those narrow eyes gave him a somewhat sinister look.
After taking him in, I asked indifferently, "Mr. Xiao, are you looking for me because there's an issue?"
